Upstar Co., Ltd. is committed to delivering unforgettable experiences to our customers through our bus tour business, while also contributing to the local community.
Because this project involves operating on public roads in the city and attracting the attention of many people, we consider "preventing traffic accidents" and "realizing a safe traffic society" to be our top priorities.
All of our business operations are built upon an unshakeable foundation of absolute safety. We declare that all executives and employees will work together with a high level of safety awareness to strictly adhere to the following safety policy.
Safety policy/behavioral guidelines
1. Compliance with laws and regulations and safety are top priorities.
Based on the principle of respecting human life, we always strictly adhere to traffic rules and legal speed limits. Safety is our top priority at all times, above efficiency and time, and we always strive to drive with a "what if" mentality, anticipating potential hazards.
Preventing traffic accidents is a serious and urgent social issue, and our tour service is committed to contributing to society through tourism. However, we reaffirm that the safety of our customers and traffic is of paramount importance, and it is our wish to eliminate traffic accidents and ensure a safe transportation society.
As professional drivers, we will abide by traffic laws and regulations, strive to be a role model for other drivers, and in particular aim to eliminate traffic fatalities. We will work to raise awareness of traffic safety and improve traffic and customer service manners, and diligently perform our duties with safe driving as our top priority. To this end, we will adhere to the following five basic rules of safe driving.

We hereby declare that we will adhere to the above fundamentals of traffic safety, recognize that our top priority as professional drivers is to absolutely avoid accidents, and strongly promote safe driving.

[Tour Service] To ensure the safety and comfort of our customers, we will avoid sudden starts, sudden acceleration, and sudden braking, and strive to drive with ample distance between vehicles. We will also make sure to remind customers to wear their seatbelts.
3. Absolute elimination of malicious and dangerous driving.
As a professional driver, the following actions are strictly prohibited:
Driving under the influence of alcohol is something I will "never do, never let others do, and never tolerate."
I will never operate or look at my mobile phone or smartphone while driving (distracted driving).
I will never make reckless lane changes, cut in front of other drivers, or engage in aggressive driving.
4. Protection of vulnerable road users and consideration for others.

At intersections and pedestrian crossings, always check for safety, slow down, and come to a complete stop to protect vulnerable road users such as children and the elderly. Furthermore, when reversing, pay close attention to blind spots and, if necessary, visually check from outside the vehicle or have a traffic controller ensure safety.
5. Thorough inspections and health management
We will ensure thorough pre-shift checks and alcohol tests are conducted to ensure we are fully prepared for work. If we experience any health concerns, such as lack of sleep or fatigue, we will immediately report them to our supervisor and refrain from driving if necessary.

Specific initiatives to support safety
1. Implementation of safety education and training
We are working to improve drivers' safety awareness and driving skills through hazard prediction training utilizing dashcam footage and participation in safety training courses offered by external organizations.
2. Introduction of safety equipment
We have installed drive recorders and digital tachographs in all our vehicles to aid in accurate operational management and safety guidance. Furthermore, we have implemented a rigorous checking system using high-performance alcohol detectors.
3. Thorough health management
In addition to regular health checkups, we conduct sleep apnea syndrome (SAS) tests and brain checkups to prevent accidents caused by health issues.
